David Quarmby was appointed Chairman in July 2009. He is a consultant in transport, planning, economics and tourism. He is also a non-executive director of NedRailways (UK). David was formerly a director of Colin Buchanan and Partners, and for twelve years a main board member of Sainsburys, first as logistics director and latterly as joint managing director.

Stephen Glaister CBE - Director - stephen.glaister@racfoundation.org

Stephen Glaister has been Director since October 2008. He is also Emeritus Professor of Transport and Infrastructure at Imperial College London and was Partnership Director of Tube Lines. Previously Stephen was also a board member of TfL and has worked for the Rail Regulator. He has advised government on numerous occasions.
